It is the start of the new season of a programme we are very proud of at Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa, The Deck Cafe & Bar, & Muntigs Bar & Restaurant on Nusa Lembongan – The School Trainee Programme. This is our annual programme where we bring onboard local students from the high schools where they learn on-the-job training and skills for three months, then return to their respective schools and complete their education. Some even choose to come to work to have after school jobs to earn some extra money until they can participate in the working community full time. Following graduation, the trainees potentially have professional jobs waiting for them to help advance their careers and support their families! Throughout their training, they receive structured support & feedback, improve their English, and are exposed to a 5-star standard of hospitality that they will be able to transfer the skills to any other hospitality careers should they choose – or stay with us! Many of our staff have previously participated in The Trainee Programme, and are still loving being a part of the Batu Karang family. So we kindly request to please be patient with the trainees, as they are still learning English and developing guest confidence, but they sure have the most positive and willing attitudes. Supervisors or Management are always present should any guests require, but please say hello to the new year’s group of trainees on Nusa Lembongan!
