30th of September 2023 is “Nyepi Laut” or Sea Seclusion Day.
Nyepi Laut is a day where the three islands of Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan & Nusa Lembongan celebrate and honour the Dewa Baruna – the ruler of the seas. This day of homage falls on the fourth full moon of the Balinese calendar where all sea activities are ceased (including transport to and from the islands & water activities), and is a day for meditation and contemplation to respect the sea that surrounds and sustains the three islands.
At Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa, there will be no check-ins or check-outs on the 30th of September 2023, and no (ocean) water activities will be permitted.
Our restaurant venues Muntigs Bar & Restaurant, The Deck Cafe & Bar & The Howff Whisky, Gin & Wine Bar will all be open for regular operation.
