At Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa it is always a pleasure to affiliate with local non-profit organisations to support vital causes. On April 21, 2017, Batu Karang hosted the Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation, a non-profit organisation raising breast cancer awareness across Bali. Mrs Gaye Warren, the founder of the foundation and survivor from the U.K., along with her team came to Nusa Lembongan to provide free screening and an Early Detection Seminar to approximately 55 local women. Bali Pink Ribbon provides free breast health educational seminars to over 800 women a year and, during the last 16 months, they have provided free screening to over 1,000 women, often in remote villages. Their vision is to prevent Indonesian women from developing and dying from breast cancer and to improve the quality of life of those who have the disease. At Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa, part of the staff training programme includes first aid, as well as a focus on general health & well-being, so we are proud supporters of preventative health education as part of a way that we can give back to the local community.
