7th October 2025
On the 7th of October 2025, the islands of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Penida will observe Nyepi Laut, or Sea Seclusion Day. This sacred tradition honours Dewa Baruna, the Balinese God of the Sea, and serves as a reminder of the deep respect the island communities hold for the ocean that sustains them.
Falling on the fourth full moon of the Balinese calendar, the day is marked by stillness and reflection. All sea-related activities come to a pause – including transport between the islands and water activities – allowing space for meditation and gratitude for the surrounding waters.
At Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa, please note there will be no check-ins or check-outs on 7 October 2025, and no ocean activities will be available on this day.
Our dining venues – Muntigs Bar & Restaurant, The Deck Café & Bar, and The Howff Whisky, Gin & Wine Bar – will remain open as usual, offering the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this special occasion.
We thank you for your kind understanding and invite you to embrace the spirit of Nyepi Laut during your stay.
