What’s Happening on Nusa Lembongan: Wayan Kulit

Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa was happy to support local organisations “Friends of Lembongan” & “Bali Children Foundation” for the special performance of Wayan Kulit, or shadow puppets this past weekend! This special show was for the benefit of the children of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, where these performances differ from the traditional Wayang Kulit shows as they are geared toward educating the children about the environment.  The children are encouraged not to burn their rubbish and the reasons why, and also are shown the negative effects of plastic. This is conducted in a creative manner engaging the children through the magic of puppets! It is always special to be able to support other local organisations making a difference on Nusa Lembongan for the future of the children, and Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa in honoured to be able to give back in any way we can. A big thank you to “Friends of Lembongan” &  “Bali Children Foundation” for organising the wonderful event, and we hope the children took away lessons on sustainable environment for the future of our beautiful island!
